Lora Roof Inspection Report
Not all roof inspections are equal. The Lora Roof Inspection is a high quality and comprehensive 61-point roof inspection—and it's free.
Our inspector will examine your roof from the ground, at the roof edge, from above the roof, and from inside the attic (we wear shoe coverings in your home), taking photos and writing notes throughout. The inspection process takes 30-60 minutes.
The resulting Lora Roof Inspection Report is the basis for making informed decisions about your roof.

Composition shingle roofs are affordable and resilient. Modern best in class composition shingle roofs can last 50 years. Older composition shingle roofs last less than 30 years.
A clay tile roof generally costs about 50% more than an equivalent composition shingle roof. The clay tile deteriorates little from weather—though it’s fragile and can be cracked by impacts. But the synthetic underlayment and sealant mechanisms under the tile require replacement every 25-35 years.
A concrete tile roof costs about the same as a clay tile roof. It’s less fragile than clay tile—though it’s still susceptible to cracking by impacts. Metal roofs are a premium roofing option, and cost more than clay and concrete tile roofs. A metal roof will last 30-50 years. They’re used frequently in snowy climates, as they prevent snow buildup on the roof. And they’re used infrequently in coastal areas, since the sea air corrodes them.
Asphalt roll roofs are affordable and resilient. Modern best in class asphalt roll roofs can last 25-35 years. Older asphalt roll roofs last 15-20 years.
TPO is a premium option for flat roofs, and modern best in class TPO roofs last 30-50 years. It offers great heat reflection, and handles standing water better than asphalt roll.
Silicone coating is designed to extend the life of an existing flat roof. If the existing roof is in adequate condition, a silicone coating can add another 20-50 years of life, with lower cost and quicker installation than asphalt roll or TPO. It offers great heat reflection, and handles standing water better than asphalt roll. Silicone coatings can be periodically reapplied, to extend the roof life further.

For composite shingle roofs—the most common roof type—we work with Owens Corning, the best among a handful of capable products (GAF, CertainTeed, Malarkey, IKO).

Certified workmanship

We install (almost) every roof type, depending on the customer's objectives and the structure: composite shingle, clay tile, concrete tile, metal, TPO (thermoplastic polyolefin), silicone cool roof, whatever is required. And for each roof type, we've identified and work with the manufacturer with the highest quality product.
These manufacturers provide certification programs, to separate out the 10% of contractors that distinguish themselves in workmanship and business practices. Any contractor can install a manufacturer's product. But when the manufacturer certifies you, they're vouching for:
- Your workmanship. You've trained with them, passing their exam process. And you've installed their product 1,000s of times, with the manufacturer making unannounced visits your job sites periodically to inspect the quality of your installation.
- Your business practices. You have a good standing with the Better Business Bureau, good business credit, and the necessary licenses and insurance.
